Privacy Policy

Effective: August 27, 2025

Govio is in early access. Today, this website mainly lets you join our waitlist or contact us, and some of the Services described below are still rolling out. Where a practice applies only to our full Services and not yet to this website, we say so. This Policy applies to U.S. users only.

Who we are

Govio Inc. ("Govio," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered government sales platform that helps businesses discover, pursue, and manage public-sector opportunities. We are a Delaware corporation. Questions? Email privacy@govio.ai.

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you visit our website and other sites we control (the "Sites") or use our products and services (the "Services").

The information we collect

When you join our waitlist or contact us through this website today, we collect the details you choose to provide — first name, last name, email address, company, the reason for contacting us, and your communications with us (including your message). As our Services become available, we may also collect the following categories of information:

  • Account Information: name, email, password, phone, company details, and communications with us.
  • Payment & Billing Information: credit/debit card details (processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor), billing address, and transaction records.
  • Usage & Device Information: IP address, device IDs, browser type, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps, crash/error data, and cookie/SDK event data.
  • Business Profile Information: NAICS codes, certifications, locations served, past performance, and opportunity preferences you provide or connect.
  • Generated/Uploaded Content: documents, capability statements, proposals, notes, and other content you upload or create using the Services ("Customer Content").

We collect information directly from you, automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and from integrations you choose to connect (e.g., QuickBooks, Google Workspace, CRMs).

Cookies & similar technologies

This website uses the essential cookies needed to operate it, and loads Google Tag Manager, which we use to deploy and manage measurement tags. Tags we enable through Google Tag Manager (for example, analytics) may set their own cookies and collect usage information about your visit. As our Services expand, we may use additional cookies and SDKs to operate and improve them, and we will update this section accordingly. These may include:

  • Analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand usage trends.
  • Customer Support & Engagement (e.g., HubSpot, Intercom, Apollo) to provide help and product communications.
  • Hosting/Infrastructure (e.g., Vercel, AWS, Google Cloud) for performance, reliability, and security.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work without certain cookies.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Communicate with you: if you join the waitlist, to contact you about early access, product updates, and related announcements. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
  • Provide and improve the Services: create and manage accounts; personalize features; generate drafts and documents; match opportunities.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud: via our third-party payment processor.
  • Secure our platform: monitor, prevent, and detect security incidents; debug and repair errors.
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms.

Generative AI & your content

We do not use your Customer Content to train foundation models for general use without your explicit permission. We may process Customer Content to provide the Services (for example, to generate documents you request) and to improve features for your organization (such as quality, accuracy, and retrieval performance), consistent with your settings and our agreements.

How we disclose information

Today, we use HubSpot to receive and manage waitlist and contact-form submissions and related product communications, Vercel to host and serve this website, and Google Tag Manager to deploy and manage measurement tags. More broadly, as our Services operate, we disclose personal information to:

  • Service Providers / Processors: hosting (Vercel, AWS, Google Cloud), analytics (Google Analytics), support and engagement (HubSpot, Intercom, Apollo), email (SendGrid), business integrations (QuickBooks, Google Workspace), and payment processor(s) that act on our behalf under contracts restricting use to our instructions.
  • Business Partners you connect: if you integrate third-party tools, we share information as needed to enable the integration.
  • Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
  • Legal & safety: to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by U.S. state privacy laws.

Data retention

  • Waitlist details: kept while we operate the waitlist and until you ask us to remove them.
  • Usage & device logs: retained up to 90 days, then anonymized if kept longer.
  • Account information: kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to meet legal and operational needs.
  • Payment/billing records: retained as required for tax, accounting, and fraud prevention.
  • Business profile & Customer Content: retained for the life of the subscription or until you request deletion, subject to legal holds and backups.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls based on least privilege, and continuous monitoring. No method is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and keep them confidential.

Your privacy choices

  • Access, deletion, correction: email privacy@govio.ai to request access to, deletion of, or correction of personal information we hold about you.
  • Marketing opt-out: use the unsubscribe link in our emails or contact us.
  • Cookies: control these through your browser or device settings.

U.S. state privacy rights (overview)

Depending on your state (for example, CA, CO, CT, UT, VA, OR, or TX), you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or appeal our decision on your request, and to opt out of sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. Govio does not sell or share personal information and does not engage in targeted advertising. To exercise rights or file an appeal, email privacy@govio.ai with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will verify your request and respond within the timelines required by law. California residents may use an authorized agent; additional instructions are provided on request.
